This is Macy’s 7th year as a teacher at Kath’s Dance & Gym Center after fifteen years as a student.  In 2017, Macy performed the role of Bert in KDGC’s production of “Mary Poppins”.  Macy also passed her Cecchetti VI professional level student exam and her Cecchetti I teacher’s exam. She is a 2021 Youngstown State University graduate. Macy graduated summa cum laude with a cumulative 4.0 GPA, a bachelor’s degree psychology and a minor in dance. She is a member of Psi Chi, the Clarence P. Gould Honor Society, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Lambda Delta honor society, and National Society for Collegiate Scholars. In 2021, she was the sole recipient of the Guterba Outstanding Psychology Student Award. Macy is continuing her education at YSU in the clinical mental health counseling graduate program. Macy aspires to become a licensed professional clinical counselor and to receive her certificate in dance movement therapy. While working at Kathi’s, she also enjoys spending her time as a nanny and mentor at Flying Trees Academy. Macy is incredibly grateful for the opportunities, experiences and second family that Kathi’s has given her.
